Finally..

*Dances and spins around*

I had a good day today! :) Went shopping with my mom in IOI Mall Puchong earlier in the evening. The main intention was to get my suit for school prom. Here is a list of the items bought:

  • Action Ladfigure Inc T-shirt
  • Giordano Collared T-shirt
  • BUM Equipment Underwears
  • Smart Master Black Blazer
  • Smart Master Black Bowtie
  • Smart Master Black Business Slacks
  • Smart Master White Tuxedo Shirt

At last I've decided on my prom suit with the help of my mom and my sisters. For this shopping trip itself, I've spent a whopping RM708.40, thus breaking the record of the highest spent on a shopping trip. You see, I don't shop often. I do my wardrobe shopping only twice a year or more when needed. I'm thankful that my mom is willing to sponsor all the expenses. Love you lots mom! Muax!

Oh, and not forgetting, my Karate instructor appeared in the newspaper again!

New challenge for fighters Arivalagan

MALAYSIA may not like the idea of the karate team competitions being held ahead of the individual events but national coach P. Arivalagan wants his charges to take it as a challenge.....

Seasoned campaigner R. Puvaneswaran will spearhead the men's charge. The other members of the team are S. Mahendran, Lim Yoke Wai, Rayner Kinsiong and rookie L. Kunasilan.

BCA TAK Bersih, TAK Cekap, TAK Amanah

Do you remember the news that hit the mainpages yesterday with the titles:

  • "Naked woman police abuse clip sparks uproar"
  • "Naked woman ordered to ear squats"
  • "Video shocks, disgusts MP"
  • "Nazri: It's shameful"
  • "To be shown to PM"
  • "Video circulated through MMS"
  • "PM : It's shameful"
  • "Naked woman incident a blow to country's image"
  • "Video clip angers the public"

At last, I've found and watched the video with anger and frustration - check it out HERE.

Our country's police authority is losing its rakyats' trust. I'm pretty sure I've lost mine.

I'll be guestblogging over Grace's blog while she's not around for the next two weeks. Do drop by there to show some support okay? Thanks! ;)

Zathura

Study attempts failed.

Instead, I was out the whole day.

Spent the afternoon with Kent, Puvana, Adrian, and a few others playing pool, foosball, and watched Zathura. Don't put your hopes too high if you are going to watch that, or it'll turn out to be a disastrous Jumanji-wannabe movie. Afterall, it's from the same producers/directors of Jumanji, is it not? I'm not really sure actually.
But overall, it's not really a bad movie if Jumanji is still not in your 'movies-I've-watched-list'.

Here are the pictures from Wilson's birthday gathering in Magical Theatre Restaurant, Sunway Pyramid on the 23rd of November 2005. They were stolen (with permission) from Penny and Laura. Thank you girls! :)

The END of Additional Mathematics

For the first time in my life, I didn't have enough time to finish up my Additional Mathematics exam papers yesterday. Just minutes ago, I stumbled across my academic-progress-report-card. Flipped through the pages and saw my previous Addmaths marks.
    March 2004 : 32
    June 2004 : 1
    July 2004 : 0
    October 2004 : 19

    April 2005 : 22
    June 2005 : 1 (Actually 0.55555..)
    SPM Trials : 17
Ahhhh.. How nice..

And honestly, I didn't do that bad this time. =)

After the second Addmaths paper, a small group of us went to McDonald's for a short 'yamcha and sek-es-klim' session. Then Michael and I went for Wilson's birthday gathering.

Pictures of Wilson's gathering will be up soon once I get hold of them. A big waste I didn't bring my camera last night. I stole Penny's pictures already but I'm still waiting for Laura's so I can complete the set. Hehe~

*

Went browsing through my junks in my computer again to ease my boredom. Doing that once in awhile brings me down memory lane. I love the good old times - don't you?

Saw a picture in particular that I want to share. Not a photo actually, just a scanned piece of art a classmate drew earlier this year.

^ Really cute huh? :P

What's next?

Moral paper wasn't really that bad. In fact, it was pretty good.
My hardwork of memorizing every moral values and definitions paid off well. I hope I'll get an A, thus breaking the first record of achieving a grade above C in the past two years.

Sigh..

Tomorrow comes the most dreaded subject,

ADDITIONAL MATHEMATICS

Getting at least a credit is by far impossible. Highest possibility is failing miserably. I'm doomed.

Sigh..

Moral Education is demoralizing

Moral Education is pathetic. But it wouldn't be that bad if you work on interesting ways to remember them. Now I kinda like the subject. =)

If you're in a last minute situation, fear not, try my ways of memorizing. They'll work - if you put enough effort in it. ;)

*All of the above statements and/or names are not intended to inflame anyone, and any relation to any situation or person in real life is just a mere co-incidence.

Bah it's really stressful memorizing the definitions for the moral values. I'm trying to memorize them in exact from every single word to word just to be safe in case if the examiners are going to be strict in their marking this time.

Luckily the paper is at 2PM tomorrow, so I can have a good night sleep without worrying about waking up early.

I shall go back to my Moral books now. Again..

Aunt's Birthday

I bet some of you must be wondering about my absence for the past two days. On the 19th I was in Malacca celebrating my aunt's birthday, and on the 20th I was out the entire day. Couldn't find time to blog 'cause I was too exhausted with the sardine-packed travelling and event schedules.

Last Saturday(19th) was my aunt's birthday dinner. All these while, I don't really know her name and I rely on the 'panggilan' "mak ehm". She's my grandmother's first-husband's son's wife. A little complicated huh? There were about 100 over relatives that turned up at the dinner.

I'll proceed with the pictures to do the talking. :)

^Sorry, the trip to Malacca was really boring.

^4 people cramming the backseat of a Hyundai Matrix can cause butt-aches. Bumpy roads caused the shaky hands.

^L-R - My sisters with Cousin Russell trying to join the picture. Cousin Grace and my sisters (again).

^Clockwise from Top Left - Cousin Russell. My brother, and Cousin David. My father and birthday girl woman. Nephew Ah Lun.

^Clockwise from Top Left - Cousin Pei Pei and niece Lum Lum. This is what happened when you have three drunk-ees on the stage :P. Cousin Justin and my brother. My brother fascinated with the aunties on stage.

^A few of the dishes served.

^Clockwise from Left Top - My family without my father, with cousin Grace and birthday aunt. Birthday cake with the stage backdrop. Cake cutting ceremony right after the shortest 'laungan' "Yam Seng" I ever heard ><.

^L-R - Dad and Uncle Roger loosing their breath in the Karaoke session. Niece Mei Mei.

^Clockwise from Top Left - Back in the house in Kampung Machap Bharu, with 50 relatives jam-packed the house - majorities are kids, so the house was like Pasar Malam that night. Niece Mei Mei again. Cousin Grace. My mom and dad.

^Clockwise from Top Left - Cousin Roy and my sister. My sister and Cousin David. Cousin Grace and my sisters. Cousin David, niece Mei Mei and my sister.

It's really nice to have such gathering once in awhile. I'll be able to meet my relatives and keep up with their on-goings. I'm really blessed to have born into this unique bloodline - inheriting the Chinese Straits (a.k.a. Baba Nyonya) blood and practicing its culture. I'm still trying to learn the Baba Nyonya language though. =P

I shall go back to my Moral books now.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I was out the whole day - right in the middle of SPM.
As mentioned in the last post, I went to watch 'Harry Potter : The Goblet of Fire' in Summit USJ with 9 others. It has been quite some time since I last went out with my friends to catch a movie.
It was a marvelous movie! I think it's Harry Potter's best yet (also claimed by critics). Compared to the previous Harry Potter movies, this fourth part of Harry Potter's 7 sagas has the most chicks - and they are HAWT! Haha! :P

Watching it today in the cinema turned out disastrous. I can't understand why a freaking man would want to bring his superbly young restless son to the cinema. That kid was kicking my chair throughout the whole movie. Worst, some 'zaman purba' kid that was sitting right behind me was talking non-stop to his so beloved daddy about every Harry Potter scene. I kept on saying "shhhh" and Mun Hoe resorted with a "Shut the **** up!"
Guess what's their response? They didn't bother and continued their selfish act ALL THE WAY till the end of the movie. >< OMG can you imagine how bloody irritated we were!? Especially in a movie I looked forward to watch so much.

><

After the movies, we played foosball, pool, and a few games at the arcade.
Not long later, only four of us were left, Adrian, Kent, my sister, and I. Partly famished, we thought of eating something economical because we're quite tight in budget for dinner. We ended up spending RM94.23 at the San Francisco Pizza Restaurant in Taipan USJ. Damn! Now I'm broke! :(

Damn thing I didn't bring my camera today. Earlier today before leaving home, I thought of bringing the camera. When I switched the camera ON, the battery life bar indicated only 2 minutes left. Darn! My sisters forgot to charge the camera after using it in Genting Highlands a few days ago.

But I managed to steal some pictures from Jacqueline's camera :

^ Jacq and Kent. The girls claimed that Kent is a Ron Weasley look-a-like. Agree?

^ Botak Michael going for his final solid shot.

^ Some of the girls, Jacqueline, Bavany, and Jin Li.

And speaking of taking the camera to Genting Highlands, my family (except my dad) took quite alot of pictures there. Here are some of them.

^ I missed out all the fun because I have to sit for the DAMNED SPM!

I'm getting quite sleepy already. I promised myself to do Additional Mathematics workbooks tomorrow once I get up from bed. I have a feeling it won't happen.

Physics = Kacang Putih Hitam!

PHYSICS..
Paper 1 was quite good.
Paper 2 was not bad.
Paper 3 was a screwed up.

Overall, 'boleh tahan lah'. Hope I'll get B3 or higher for the subject, cause I'll need the grades.

Ah, at last! It's freedom! FOR AWHILE.
The next paper will be next Tuesday, Moral Education, and then Additional Mathematics the following day. So I actually have about 5 days to study rest and enjoy! I'll be watching Harry Potter tomorrow! I can't wait! =)

*

Hey Liz!

This is for you! =D Just like I promised. Me in Ju-On-esque mode!

I hope it's scary enough to not disappoint you.

Not as attractive as yours I might say =P :

Disastrous Mathematics & Piercings

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Why is the paper so easy all these while turned out the opposite today? ><
I sucked in Mathematics, enough said.

Boo..

I'm not supposed to be here. Instead, I should be doing Physics workbooks.
   *Points a finger at you*
Yes, you too, if you're taking the exam tomorrow! *shakes head*

*

My dear friend Sheela Khaw dreamt of me last night. She dreamt of me successfully piercing three different parts on my nose. OMG WTH right!?

The delusive situation in her dream recalled a series of memory at the time when I was still naive and immature.

Let's take an example, an actual conversation that took place between my parents and I:

Me : Mummy, can I pierce my ears?
Mom : No!
Me : But why?
Mom : No means no!
Me : My friends are piercing theirs also!
Mom : Don't disturb me, go and ask your dad.

Me : Pa, can I pierce my ears?
Dad : CAN......... but don't you EVER dare to step back into the house!
Me : -.-"

Till now, I'm still 'clean'. =P

A thousand mile

My thumb and middle finger are swollen badly "thanks" to the multiple composition and essay papers since yesterday. It seems that my fingers have participated a thousand miles marathon instead of my feet. >< Two days and I've written approximately 7000 words for 5 papers.

History paper was terrible. Although it wasn't really that bad (claimed by many), I didn't put enough effort in studying History except for fifteen minutes before entering the hall. Once again, I'm screwed. I was so 'kiasu' that I wrote all 5 essays when you only have to choose 3. (I'm not alone, okay?)

Well, I'll just leave my results in God's the examiner's hands.

Less stress tomorrow. Just Modern Mathematics. The following day is a dreaded one. Physics.
I need to ace this subject. I really really need to. Oh dear, please let me pass this test!

Once again,

ALL THE BEST!
Don't screw up okay? =)

BM Paper = $%#@~

BM papers were

!%@#%@#$%#$$!%@#!^#$^@
#$^#$%@#%!#^@#$^@$^#$^
23%$@#^#$^3$^$@#^@$^@$
$#^#$@#%2^$@#63^#$^#$^
#$^#$^@%^@#62^#$6#$^34

Sorry for the (censored) cursing.

It was terrible. I didn't have enough time to finish BM paper 2. 8 marks gone. Just like that.

Before I sat my first paper this morning, I was overwhelmed with anxiety. The feeling was almost the same when I had to face this tall scary-looking Indian guy (nothing racism ok) in my Karate tournament a couple of years back. And it affected my first paper - badly. I totally lost concentration on the first question for 30 minutes. Luckily I managed to finish the paper in time.

I'm screwed.

Sigh.

Okay, enough of whining. What's over is over.

Anyway,

Three weeks ago, I checked the meter for "How much is your blog worth?" on Technorati.

-Entered my blog adress - http://vpws.blogspot.com...

      -Clicked submit...

         -Page Loaded...

            -Results returned...

               WORTH : $0.00

>.<

Today, I checked it again, and guess what?

My blog is worth $15,807.12.
How much is your blog worth?

Wouldn't it be NICE if someone would want to buy my blog? *grins* XD

SPM!? *Important*

OMG OMG OMG! Guess what!?

My private tuition teacher called me last night!

This was the conversation:

Teacher : Eh Vincent, u there?
Me : Yes teacher.. Why suddenly call one?
Teacher: I tell you something, then you help do me a favour okay?
Me: Ah? For what? Okay lah okay lah, what favour?
Teacher : Help to spread it to your friends that's in the same tuition one.
Me: Wah, spread what wor? Anthrax ah?
Teacher : No, this morning, got pegawai call me, got SOALAN BOCOR!
Me: OMG OMG OMG!!! Serious ah teacher!? I love you man!
Teacher : Okay good, just go to the website that I sms you later.
Me: Okay, thanks teacher!

Crap I didn't believe it at first. I thought that bugger was joking because he's the most sporting and funniest teacher I ever had. So I thought it was some joke he cracked to make us chill from all the study stress.

It's time to share the link with all SPM candidates. Please spread it around. I hope it'll benefit you as much as it will for me. Please note that I do not guarantee its accuracy.

Hopeless

Oh I've found a new session of blogging - early in the morning when the sun is shining bright up in the sky. This once in a while will replace the usual time when wolves are howling at the moon.

It's amazing how badly screwed up my sleep is. I replaced nap with sleep and sleep with nap. It's a good thing though. (I bet you're thinking "this guy's nuts")
Seriously, it works - especially when SPM is coming. I'll wake up at 8AM feeling darn fresh just like after waking up from an afternoon nap, and I'll sleep at 4PM (ending of the last SPM papers of almost everyday) just like any normal bedtime.

2 days left. 47 hours to be exact. I've just started revising Physics, the most important subject if I want to be a pilot. So far I've failed almost every Physics papers in school examination but I somehow managed to attain a credit for trials. I'm not hopeless, just plain lazy - and caught up with other things in life (such as blogging).

I predict myself singing the song Bad Day by Daniel Powter for the next 21 days.

For those who don't read the papers, check this out :

Police made me strip, says Chinese national
BY PARVEEN GILL

PETALING JAYA: A 35-year-old housewife claimed she was forced to strip at a police station in Sungai Buloh, and that several policemen and policewomen there had also taken her money.

This alleged incident and a complaint by a remisier that an investigating officer at the district police headquarters here had asked for a bribe surfaced barely a week after all police contingents were supplied with button badges against graft.

...

Using a hand gesture, the policeman allegedly demanded RM500 from them.

“Since both of us were carrying valid passports, we refused to give the policeman anything. We were then taken to the police station,” she said.

The housewife claimed that when they arrived at the police station, a policewoman took five pieces of RM10 notes from her handbag. The money was divided among four police personnel.

She added that during a body search at the station, she was instructed to take off her clothes.

“A policewoman grabbed my breast and slapped me when I blushed.

“I was then forced to take off my undergarments and do five ear squats.

“I saw a policeman peeping then,” she said, adding that the room door was shut tight only when she screamed.

When her husband showed up later at the police station with their marriage certificate, the investigating officer also refused to consider the document as genuine.

Size Doesn't Matter

^ Shawn made it into the papers today.

I was halfway down my daily routine of reading the newspapers when I stumbled enviously across little Shawn on the front cover of the StarMetro. Not only that, his pictures and profile filled up the next two pages!

Seen here is how the timid yet adorable Shawn whom father Reggie Lee (Yes, the famous comic artist, NOT the actor) claimed "a weakling in the past" proves to us that no matter how hard it is to achieve our dreams, strong determination, hard work, and great passion will bring you there. Giving up is not the only solution to a problem faced whether is it walking through a barricade in life, or even trying to milk a cow for the first time.

Read all about it here.

It's now down to 3 days left to SPM. It seems like only yesterday the counter was projecting 30 or something.

I have to fit 5 subjects in these 3 days as I won't be able to find time to study in the first 3 days of SPM since there are papers till 4PM.

All in a sudden, I'm able to feel the heat. I hope the heat is from an Olympic Games torch being lit instead of a tiny match.

By the way, there's Planet Shakers Night Rally concert in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre at 7:30PM tonight. Should I or should I not go? Hmmm..

Like a Match..

10th November 2005

I practically spent the whole day in slumber. When I wasn't, I'll be infront of the television watching National Geographic or helping my brother with his stone-aged PlayStation games.

No mood, no energy, no motivation to study - at all.
If there's any, it's just like a match being lit - a strong flare at first but ended up burned and charred before you can even say "Shlimazl'"(a chronically unlucky person in Yiddish).

*fixing poor twisted tongue*

Hey, I'm not the only one, there're a few others out there who are in the same shoes walking down the same lane as I am at this very minute. Worst, some are bloody "heavy-duty" bloggers and they're still active in the blogosphere. Don't believe? Check them out for yourself : Narcissism of Eliza Lee, Suet Li's Suetlism, Colourful Dreams of Laura Leong, and Asyraf Lee the Eligible Bachelor.

Well, I did try to study a little - Modern Mathematics - which many seventeen-year-olds don't consider it a subject to concentrate on because it's as easy as pie. ><

This afternoon, I received a notification email from Photobucket that I'm almost reaching my maximum bandwidth. Oh No!!! I think it is time to find a new image host. =( Any recommendation?

Hmm.. nothing much to blog here, so I'll mengundur diri terlebih dahulu.<--(Note to SPM students: Best way to end your perbahasan, ucapan, or syarahan. Haha~)

Little Chicken Little

9th November 2005

^ Familiar? The hyperactive titchy animated Chicken Little whom thinks that the sky is falling! (Whether it's true or not, you've got to see it for yourself)

It's a Wednesday, so ticket price was darn cheap! And I went to watch it with my little brother.

^ Picture was quite blurry, so I had to sepia it. Gosh I looked fat.

The movie wasn't that bad, indeed it's quite a good movie - it's just that I don't really fancy it, so I'll give it a 3/5. Just realised that people nowadays are getting more imaginative day by day - that explained all the weird plots and illogical storylines.

(Duh! It's a cartoon! And it's not supposed to be logical! Sheesh~)

Oh, not forgetting to mention, I like a really cute and macho character from the movie, Fish Out of Water! Look out for it if you're gonna watch the movie. Hehe!

Hmm, speaking of cute, I sorta..

^ Kidnapped my sister's teddybear, Bimbo - for a few days already. Haha, I'm a little cheeky sometimes, really sorry for that. *hides*

Mom's birthday is less than a week time. Unfortunately her birthday falls on the second day of my SPM. Won't be able to celebrate for her earlier or later cause she'll be going to Genting Highlands at the end of this week, and Malacca at the end of next. Looks like I've got to wait till SPM's over.

I also bought her a birthday gift. Budget was tight so I had no choice but to pick the cheapest but good crap I can find. Ended up with this 40 bucks spinning-four-LEDed-lasered-crystal.

^ Not too bad when it's turned off, but,

^ It's quite a beautiful sight when it's switched on. Weeee~ Four different beautiful colours emit turn by turn.

I hope she'll like it. =/

*

SPM is already less than a handful of days. I'm sure most of my same fated comrades and blogders will be setting the Internet icon to Disconnect for the rest of the week or so. So, I'm taking this opportunity to wish all SPM-takers:

GOOD LUCK & ALL THE BEST!
May you all be blessed with good health and great minds throughout this final blood-curdling examination.

(Wish me the same too, okay?) ;)

The Official Last Day of School

^ This is part of the examination hall where I'll be doing my SPM papers. See the red desk? AHHHHHH! The worst place a candidate could ask for!
Yes, unfortunately, that's where I'll be sitting. *sob sob*

The location has very little light source, quite hot, and worst of all, pressure from the presence of pengawas peperiksaan. >.< I'm doomed! *runs in circle*

*

Today was the official last day of secondary school. Although I can't wait to leave, I believe I'll miss the school once I do so. Lots of memories gained throughout these five years of green pants and white shoes (Err, except for 3 years of being a prefect, which was white pants and black shoes - haha) and these were the years that have put me standing in the shoes I am now.

I forgot to charge my camera, so I didn't take any pictures this morning. Lets captivate this morning's atmosphere with pictures courtesy of Jacqueline Ng.

^ A weird group photo. Wanted to do the post just like the "Girl from Ipoh" advert but.. nevermind. =P

^ Wanted to camwhore but accidentally added a few others inside. Jin Li and Mun Hoe was looking at me, Sheela's already posing, and Denise tried to get inside the picture. Haha~

^ The four hyper-active over-emotional girls that has made great changes in my life.

^ Standing here is one of the most respected teacher of all time, Puan Vijaya.

^ R-L> Cheryl, Jacqueline, Lyncia, Siau Yen, and a ghost.

^ Group photo with Puan Lim, the teacher whom claimed with her old-fashion Chinese style of living will bring you to greater heights. Yes we know teacher, we know..

^ Took another group picture before leaving the school gates. Crap, I look like I'm punching my face. ><

^ All of us had lunch together after school. These were my lunch, two pieces of Roti Susu.

^ Yummy~

*

The next batch of pictures will come in on the 2nd of December. That's the end of SPM for most candidates especially Science stream students. I just can't wait to get over with SPM. I kept having flashbacks of the early schooling days lately. Sigh.

a moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever..

Mission I M Possible - Truant

7th November 2005

School today was superbly enthralling, captivating, intriguing, and a little tantalizing.

The whole drama is about trying to "ponteng" (is it called playing truant?) from school. It was my first time, I swear - and I was persuaded by the pro of all-time ponteng-ing, Mun Hoe! Unbelievable the adamant me all these while gave in to his persuasion. Maybe because it's the second last day of school and I might not be able to do such thing in high school in the future, so I thought of giving it a try, a so-called irreplaceable experience of my soon-to-end schooling days. I know it's wrong, but, curiosity and raging hormones overcome the guilt. Haha~

I would like to apologise if my actions affected or offended any particular person.

*Names were modified to protect privacy.

----------7:20AM

Reached the gates of school after picking up Michael. First time I reached school that early over the past 6 months - amazingly. =P

----------7:45AM

Monday's formal official assembly was held informally. Spotcheck was handled out. Apparently they missed my class, and lucky Mun Hoe got away from getting his handphone confiscated. I was smart enough to smell a spotcheck beforehand and we left our phones and cameras in my car before entering school.

----------8:30AM

When the coast was clear, we made our way to my car and brought down the handphones and cameras.

^ Michael's itchy hands started snapping weird pictures and videos out of no where.

^ The Foyer C is so empty - alot people were absent this morning. And it's a study period so no one will in be at the Foyer C, duh!

^ Met Hubert - which sort of joined in the "lifeless" gang group.

----------9:10AM

Back in class. Atmosphere was dull and getting a little weary over time.

^ Michael entertained himself with his camera. Whole morning he was a little crazy laughing over nothing and he claimed it's because of the stress of SPM. Weirdo.

^ Three groups of classmates were there. The typical chinese males (named CNN by can't remember who - Chinese Nerd Nation) , the typical chinese females (also known as Lich Hung girls) , and us "lifeless" people, of course.

^ Hubert halfway performing his SS-ness (Claimed by Michael/SS=Syiok Sendiri) .

^ Funny Bryan trying to escape the camera lens. It was a funny sight. LMAO.

^ Another two "lifeless" people, Afzal and Nizam, arrived a little later - and went back home much sooner.

^ The only picture of me in my camera, poor thing.

^ Bryan at last decided to shed away his shyness and grab Michael for a photo session. ;P

^ The hardworking group which gave us a little chill on our back for not studying when it's only 7 days left to SPM.

^ The much surprised teachers wondering how the camera didn't join in the list of confiscated items from this morning's spotcheck. *smiles widely*

^ Okay, this wasn't my idea. Hubert took this I think. Sheesh~

^ Found a "masterpiece" from one of the art classes and had a good laugh at it. Evil people we were, weren't we? But Michael started it! *points the finger at Michael*

^ Lucky Mun Hoe with his phone messaging Adrian. This was where he planned to play truant and persuaded Michael and I to join him. After a little argument and give-and-take, without whole-heartedly we finally decided to do it. Mun Hoe as the mastermind set the escape time at 10AM and the destination, Global Cyber Cafe. OMG!

^ Our carefree attitude made us continue do silly things, including playing checkers with only twelve pieces on the board.

^ Swee Beng dropped by not long later.

Bryan suggested that we gamble because I have cards in my car. Honestly, I rarely gamble - not even during festival times, you can ask anyone close to me if you don't believe. I'm just not really the risk-taker people used to misjudge me.

^ While making another trip to my car to get the deck of cards, I took a picture of the next class, which apparently seemed as "lifeless" as we were. Haha~

----------9:37AM

^ Today, I seriously don't know the reason why I easily gave in to persuassions. Just not my normal self, I assume. Yes, I gambled. *Heads down with guilt* Luckily the bet was just at a minimal amount, and whilst others bet a buck, I stayed firm with only 50 cents. Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. I won 4 bucks anyway! =P

----------10:13AM

Walked to the maingate only to find there're junior prefects guarding the gate from any case of truancy. Not only that, fierce *Mrs Diddy was there standing too. >< Plan was a failure, but Mun Hoe will never give up. He made us plan for the next move and waited the next opportunity.

----------10:22AM

^ We waited at the Foyer C waiting for the right time to "FLY". Bennette and Melody wanted to do so too, but was stopped experiencing the same situation.

^ And another group tried.

^ Two highly spirited SPM-takers loitering around school, Kevin and Shiao Loong.

^ Michael SS with his camera again.

^ And guess what? Puvana and Kent was kind enough to drop us a visit! Buggers!
Looks like they're gonna join us at the cafe later.

^ Poor Michael and Mun Hoe were getting really bored and tired. So was I. The weather was quite humid on that very hour.

^ Michael still managed to pull up a few cracky lame jokes to keep us entertained.

----------11:00AM

The bell rang to mark recess. No plan can be carried out without energy, so we went to the canteen and refreshed ourselves.

----------11:28AM

^ Finally, we decided, it's either now, or not at all. So we hatched a plan. Michael somehow got his mom over his handphone, and pleaded her to come pick us all up - at least there's a REASON for escaping. Haha~

^ There! Caught red-handed! Another group who was trying to play truant! Haha~

Finally, Michael's mom arrived. We walked out of school like nobody's business. The 5 junior prefects that were given the responsibility to guard the gates of the school watched helplessly with the massive crowd walking out of school all at once.

I felt a little pity - and GUILT. Once I was one of those innocent brats working hard to fulfil the responsibilities of enforcing the school laws. Now I'm one of those whom I previously disliked to much - the law-breakers. Sigh~

Guilt wasn't preventable. But pity was. So I decided to take a shot of them with my camera before I leave.

^ The cute little ones. Haha~ Was quite shocked how they still managed to pose for the picture.

I then sent Bryan and Hubert home.

^ Bryan posing with a sheepish smile for all the trouble getting out of school. "Home sweet home," he said.

----------11:52AM

^ Final destination, Michael's crib, before heading to the cybercafe.

Today I've learnt a lesson. A great one - I learned to be firm and adamant with your principles and not lose to persuasions. Losing in such will only end you up in the wrong road and there will never be a success at the end of it.

I regretted the whole incident, I truly did.

Irony of a Degree

Just woke up not long ago. I really can't defy the state of being nocturnal.
Was surfing and bumped into this:

PETALING JAYA: A degree used to be a passport to a good career and better life. But not anymore.

It has become an irony that in the pursuit of academic excellence, the graduates have made themselves unemployable.

According to the employers, the change from a “wholesome” education to one that emphasises only on scoring As has led to a decline in the quality of graduates.

Besides a good academic background, employers look at communication, leadership and social skills when assessing a job applicant.

It seems that most of the new graduates do not have such skills. This could be the reason why some 60,000 graduates are unemployed in the country.

Malaysian Employers Federation president Md Jafar Abdul Carim said there was no definite solution to the problem of unemployed graduates.

“However, it can be seen that this focus on getting excellent grades has led to a situation where graduates now need assistance,” he said.

“Twenty years ago, scoring 5A’s was a big thing. Now it does not mean anything,” he said.

Md Jafar blamed the rat race that took place so early in a child's education.

He said the school used to provide “a wholesome education” involving schoolbooks and lots of club activities which exposed the children to leadership positions and interaction.

“Now, children spend hours after school in tuition classes. They also have to go for a full school day on Saturday to study past years' papers to prepare for the exams,” he said.

“Schools are competing with each other to see who scores more As.”

Md Jafar said local graduates were also “more costly” to employ in terms of training compared to those who returned from overseas.

“It takes more time to train a local graduate to reach a level where he or she can contribute to an organisation,” he said.

“Foreign graduates are more focussed when it comes to taking responsibilities. They communicate better and volunteer for work.

“Local graduates are more reserved and are less likely to volunteer for additional responsibilities,” he said.

Will try to go back to sleep, but before that, I would like to wish

8 is just a number

SPM - 8 more days.

     Still no progress.

Sunday is a day to laze around rather than working your a** off.
Played FIFA 2005 with brother after I woke up at 6PM. Yeap, still stuck with my upside-down sleeping cycle. Planning to modify my cycle back to normal starting tonight - so no matter what, I'm making myself sleep by 12 midnight later.

^ EF2000 Eurofighter Typhoon. Isn't it a real beauty? It's my latest desktop wallpaper. Replaced the old one last night.

I'm going all crazy over aviation topics lately. Not forgetting Pussycat Dolls too! XD

The last 3 official days of Secondary school for the form five's will commence tomorrow. Then it's SPM already.
I am so gonna miss the memories gained throughout my secondary school life. =(

Life goes on anyway.

9 Shivery Days

9 DAYS LEFT!

Yeah, it's now a single digit on the countdown. And yet I have a quadruple digit of pages to revise and study in these 9 days.

I can't help it but to worry about SPM. From where I'm standing now, I didn't progress much since a fortnight ago. I can't seem to feel the heat to actually burn my a** away from this computer chair and have a crumpled piece of paper thrown at my head with the message "go study Chemistry".

There's obviously a barrier between me and the urge to study. The motivation is not there.

What's gotten into me?

Sigh..

Jin Li's Be-earlied Birthday Surprise Party

Jacqueline and friends decided to give Jin Li a be-earlied birthday surprise party because celebrating it on the real birthday which is exactly a week before SPM is a cut-throat. We had it at Baywatch Restaurant in PJ because we wanted to try the food there.

Just got back home after a good long chat down memory lane with an old friend. Quite tired already so I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

At 6:45PM, I picked Bavany, Denise, and Michael. We then headed over to Adrian's house to wait for Shih Mun.

^ Cute Puvana waiting outside Adrian's house.

^ Adrian and I were figuring out the location of the restaurant on my bookmap because I don't really know the way there.

^ Nice picture of Adrian.

We then dropped by Bee's Bakery in Taipan to buy a birthday cake. Sheesh, last minute people!

^ I was posing in the car while waiting for Bavany and Denise to buy the birthday cake. Wah, I felt like a "Transporter". Haha~

Reached the restaurant without getting lost. Waited for 15 minutes for Jin Li to surprise her.

^ The not-so-shocked birthday (be-earlied) girl, Jin Li.

Then we did some gambar-gambar, main-main, makan-makan and minum-minum.

^ Puvana's Chivas with Coke and Tiger beer. Actually that Tiger's mine. :P

^ Four close-good-best-girlie friends.

^ Bavany with her beer. Not hers actually.

^ Michael and Jacqueline. Tsk tsk tsk.

^ Mike has never seen a real life shark before so he decided to take a picture of it. Jakun!

^ Jacq and Jin, the Hehe-haha girls.

^ DayEveningdreamer. SS kua.

^ Baywatch sauce promoter. -.-"

^ Crap, I was caught off-guard!

^ Not long after, another batch of Jin Li's friends came.

^ Jin and Bav.

^ Shih Mun enjoying his Lamb Chop.

^ 2 delicious plates of Chicken Chop! Yum yum!

^ I helped to finish Jin Li's Carbonara pasta.

^ Jin and her carrot juice.

^ Jin and the SMKSU-ians.

^ There a couple of pool tables and a foosball table there too. Rong Feng challenged me but he lost the game. Hehe!

^ Stylo picture of Shih Mun attempting his miracle-break. Shih Mun challenged me a loser-pay game but ended up losing! :) I was lucky, I think.

^ Time to cut the cake! Yes, you've obviously guessed it right, a Tiramisu cake.

^ What's a birthday without going through some challenge right? Haha!

^ The group picture!

^ Don't know what's wrong with her. All in a sudden so syiokshocked.

^ Ahem ahem!

^ Future bartender! =P

^ Wow I like this shot! =P A very intriguing expression.

^ Having a good laugh looking at Jin and Jacq playing pool. =D

^ Left Baywatch at 11. Certain food there was good while some were bad. The most satisfying thing of the restaurant is the service. =)

Haven't had enough of pool and foosball so we decided to continue our games at Club Seven, SS15, Subang Jaya.

^ Poor Mike was all exhausted. He woke up after this picture was taken. =P

^ Had a few good games of pool at Club Seven. Edmond and Desmond joined in later.

^ The girls. Amazingly they know how to work with the sticks cue. =P

At 1, everyone went back home except for Adrian, Bavany and I. I picked Mun Hoe and we head on to a nearby Mamak restaurant for a drink. Left the place a couple of hours later.

Came back home sleepy and a little exhausted. It was really a great night with the entertaining companion of whacky dumb friends. The next birthday kid with such event will be Michael, which is 20th December! Haha~

*Yawn*

Getting pretty tired already. Time to sleep.

Which phone?

Few weeks ago, I was deciding on which phone to buy after SPM.
With a limited budget and strong urge for higher technology, I did some research and drop myself down to a few options :

^ Samsung SGH D500

^ Nokia 7610

^ Sony Ericsson K750i

^ Nokia 3230

^ LG G262

^ Nokia 6230i

^ Samsung SGH E720

And finally, I've made my decision!
I'm now aiming for a..

^ Sony Ericsson K750i! Woohoo~

^ Can't resist its 2.0 Megapixel camera with Flash & Autofocus, and a maximum external memory storage of up to 2 Gigabytes!

Try its 3D simulator here!
And an interactive presentation for the phone here!

At RM1500, this is a phone to die for! =D I just can't wait! But there's SPM to go through first.. :(

100th Post! > Deepavali

This is the 100th entry since the existence of this blog on 19th August 2005. How time flies..

Yesterday was Deepavali and I spent the entire day with friends celebrating the festival of light.

Woke up at 11 and went to Bavany's house for Deepavali. Had lunch there.

^ Horny Michael and Adrian at the back.

^ Shih Mun was unlucky to accidentally have curry dripped on his pants.

^ Some of peeps that were there too.

^ Bavany and I.

^ Another one. =P

^ Cheese!

^ Bav's mom was telling some story about her doggy to Shih Mun. So cute!

^ Mike's "lala" wrist band bought from Las Vegas. Show off! =P

^ Jacqueline posing with Bavany, Bavany's mom, and Bavany's sister, Dak.

^ The girls. Posers!

At 4, we left Bav's crib for a movie at Sunway Pyramid.

^ Jacq insisted to take a picture of my mini Kelisa with a flower she just plucked at a bush. >.<

^ Jacqueline the cute donkey/ducky. =P

^ Jin Li. What is she doing? =/

^ Chris' car with the others inside.

^ Denise and Bavany spotted the camera was aiming at them. So they posed.

We watched the Transporter 2 and played a game of snooker before heading for Puvana's Deepavali celebration at his house. He invited about 60 over people to his house for dinner.

^ Vee Lyn, Aeni, and Penny were there too.

^ Shih Mun striking a lala pose. =P

^ Playing Chor Dai Di.

^ Ain and I. Crap I looked retarded. >.< (Picture courtesy of Penny)

^ After a couple of hours spent eating, we headed inside. These people are playing cards but not gambling.

^ Another group was.

^ Mike can't resist posing with his horny look whenever he sees the camera. Posing here is Puvana, the host.

^ Jacq and Puvana.

I reached home at 12 after sending Mike, Jin Li, Jacq, and Bav home. For the first time, my car travelled more than 300km with a full tank.

Slept not long after I got home.

Here, I would like to extend my gratitude to Bavany and Puvana for inviting me to their Deepavali house warming. I enjoyed myself and greatly most of all the Indian food served! Thanks! =)

Just got home from dinner at Sri Melur Restaurant in USJ 16 together with Puvana. My family was out shopping at One Utama since afternoon.
I didn't follow cause I was sleeping. I woke up at 5PM and that totalled up a 17 hours of sleep. >.<

Just realised I've wasted so much time sleeping the past few days. Now only that, I had too many days of hiatus from studying already, so now I've gotta repay the time lost.

Back to the books.
